TV Series (2000)

T.V. Series, video, 16 mins.

This video is part of a series where I used musical composition methodologies to organize visual material. This video was composed using serial techniques, following Arnold Schoenberg’s twelve-tone method, especially as built upon by Anton Webern. It is made with all of the non-dialogue scenes from a single episode of the 1980’s television show, “Magnum P.I”. All of the non-dialogue audio from the episode is put together serially, much like the video but on a separate matrix, provides the soundtrack.

The other two pieces in this series are Otters in Three and Contingent Rhythms.
